Who or what has been your most memorable interview or story?
My most memorable story would probably be covering Super Bowl XXXVII from San Diego, while working in Great Falls, Montana. It was quite the experience covering the biggest game in America's favorite sport and I did so as a 'one-man band'. Certainly overwhelming, but an invaluable experience!
If you could interview anyone dead or alive who would it be?
Not to disrespect any great figures throughout history, but I never had the chance to meet 3 of my 4 grandparents. They passed before I was born. Hence, I'd interview them over a long, leisurely dinner.
What is the best thing about being a journalist?
The best thing about being a journalist is the access to the story. We serve as a conduit from athlete to fan, and it's our responsibility to do so with integrity.
Do you have any hidden talents?
If being a marginal windsurfer can be considered a hidden talent, then yes. Obviously, living in a landlocked state has helped keep it hidden.
What is one thing no one would ever guess about you?
That I don't have an appendix. It was surgically removed a week after my family moved to the United States from Amman.
