GREELEY, Colo. (AP) -
A Colorado nurse charged with using a terminally ill patient's name to get pain pills is now accused of doing the same with other patients.
29-year-old Marguerite Irene Furgerson is accused of forging prescriptions for more than 4,000 pills. She was charged in May with using the name of a patient at Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern Colorado to get Vicodin pills.
The Greeley-based hospice called police last week to report other cases involving the former nurse.
According to court records, the fraudulent prescriptions totaled 4,372 tablets of Vicodin or Hydrocodone.
Furgerson faces identity theft charges. Police have described the nurse as an addict who was not selling the pills but taking them herself.
