BOULDER, Colo. - A 25-year-old Boulder woman is under arrest for allegedly breaking into her ex-husband's home and attacking him with a shovel.
Jamie Torrico faces charges of second-degree burglary, criminal mischief, reckless endangerment and child abuse after Tuesday night's incident.
Police were called to a home in the 3300 block of Berkley Court around 7:35 p.m. on reports that Torrico shattered a window at her ex-husband's house to get inside, and then whacked him in the head with a shovel. The attack came shortly after a heated conversation between the two which resulted in Torrico being physically removed from the home, the Boulder Daily Camera newspaper reported.
The couple's child was present at the time, which led to the child abuse charge.
Torrico was booked into the Boulder County Jail.
