A wild black bear drew a large crowd in Highlands Ranch Friday morning after it climbed up a tree in someone's backyard.
Colorado Division of Wildlife agents were called to the home in the 900 block of Ramshead Ct. around 9 a.m. after homeowners reported the bear perched high in a tree, unwilling to come down on its own.
Agents placed a trampoline at the base of tree before shooting the bear with a tranquilizer.
Officials hauled away the unconscious bear and planned to return it to the wild.
