The End of Oprah: 12 signs of the TV Apocalypse?
Oprah is leaving broadcast TV for cable. Movie stars are guesting on soap operas. Reality TV has become a mobius strip of self-perpetuating semi-fame. Surely, the TV end times are nigh.

Frankly, Oprah can do whatever she wants. And if that means shutting down her talk show after 25 years to go concentrate on literally her OWN network (the O-W-N stand for Oprah Winfrey Network), so be it.
Still, 25 years. Are we really going to have to change our dinnertime conversation starter from "Today, on 'Oprah' ..." to "Today, on 'The View'"?
Really though, Oprah abandoning the daytime TV landscape is just another sign that TV is careening off a cliff ...
